Meet Alcona FFA members, compete in a cornhole tournament, purchase chili and cornbread, and more. All profit from this event will benefit the Alcona FFA Alumni & Supporters Association and be used to support FFA and agriscience education at Alcona Community Schools.

The Curran Black Bear Festival will be held at the Mitchell Township Hall and grounds starting at 9 a.m. Car show registrants may register until 11:30 a.m. The parade begins at 1 p.m., followed by kids games, cake walk, door prizes, cars on display, a craft show, food and music. A Blessing of the Animals will be held at the Harrisville United Methodist Church beginning at 10 a.m. This is a family friendly and joyous event, plus a perfect photo opportunity. Everyone – humans and animals – are welcome.

The annual dinner and auction for the Alcona Humane Society will be held at Mariah Hall in Harrisville beginning at 5 p.m. with a social hour (cash bar available). Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the silent auction, with many items to bid on, plus a jewelry raffle where every ticket owner wins. Tickets are available to purchase prior to the dinner at Precious Paws Resale Shoppe in Harrisville or the Alcona Humane Society (animal shelter), in Lincoln. Tickets are $15 per person and $10 for kids 10 and under.
