A patio stone craft event will be held at the Alcona Humane Society shelter from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All supplies are included in this free family event that includes light snacks and a tour of the shelter. Everyone is invited to walk, or sit, to raise awareness and find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) at the Alcona High School track starting at noon. The walk honors Aspyn Lee, a three year old local girl fighting the life-shortening disease. All funds collected will go to the CF Foundation.
The third concert in the “Music at Westminster” series will feature the Sweet Adeline Women’s Acapella Choir at 3 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. Admission is free, donations are welcome. A reception will be held following the concert in the fellowship hall.
